Raised by a couple of New Yorkers in Northern California, Lizi grew up navigating trail maps and strong personalities. She suspects this parodox is why she loves to work with all types of creatives and stories.
Most recently, she cast the French-American production, History is Made At Night directed by Chioke Nassor ( Hulu, Max, Apple original series) and produced by Myriam Schroeter (A24’s Sorry, Baby; Oscar-nominated Sing, Sing). The film shot in Paris and features award-winning American actors, Cesar-nominated and emerging talent.
She also co-wrote and directed, and cast the award-winning short film, Dead Serious, starring Jessica Hecht (Succession, Breaking Bad, Sideways) premiering at multiple film festivals 2025. The film won Best Brooklyn Short Film at BFF 2025.
For many years, Lizi worked as a casting associate to Taylor Williams (Good One) on productions including Scenes from a Marriage and What the Constitution Means To Me: National Tour. She was also the writer’s assistant to Halley Feiffer (American Horror Story) on original HBO series and her world premiere play of A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Gynecologic Oncology Unit at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center of New York City at MCC Theater. The play was directed by Trip Cullman and was a NYT Critics Pick.
